First steps were taken with a simple analog camera. Ironically, Michal's first award-winning image was taken with an iPhone 6 during a heating pipe breach. That was the only camera Michal had on him at the moment and luckily it did the job!

Growing up in Lodz — a major Polish city known for its industrial roots and a rough 1990s atmosphere — Michal learned early on to see beyond the ordinary. Raised in the heart of the city’s projects, he developed a keen eye for finding something unusual in the everyday.

Michal isn’t just documenting life; he’s capturing moments that reveal something authentic. He focuses on the real emotions, subtle details, and the occasional bit of humor that make life interesting. Whether it’s the way the light falls on a street corner or a spontaneous interaction between strangers, Michal's photography brings to life what’s often overlooked. It’s his way of showing the world that beauty isn’t always in the obvious — sometimes it’s hiding in plain sight. For Michal, every shot is a chance to make the world a better place. One image at a time.

A recipient of accolades such as the Fujifilm Street Photo Awards and recognitions from the Miami and Gothenburg Street Photo Festivals, Michal's work has been recognized by Magnum Photos icons like Martin Parr and Bruce Gilden. His photographs have adorned both solo and group exhibitions, and his book "Fair Creatures" received much acclaim.
